First of all, thank you to everyone who supports this blog; both my new subscribers and the OG’s who have been here from the beginning. I apologize for sending this email on a Monday, since it means you, my beloved subscribers, are blessed with yet another email—and I already post three times a week.
1. Posting will slow down (a little) in the fall starting next week.
As I wrap up my undergrad degree in Film & TV Production at USC, my schedule is about to get intense. I’m thisclose to graduating, and I need to focus on the finish line.
So. Starting mid-August this week, I’ll be scaling back a bit—likely going from three posts a week to one or two, depending on how brutal the midterms/finals schedule gets. But I’m not ghosting, just slowing down temporarily. Also, I don’t want to inundate you good folk with too many posts.
2. A merch store is coming!
I’ve gotten a few kind words about the graphics in my posts—some made by artist friends and art students I’ve met, others commissioned from freelancers (yes, I mean Fiverr). I’ll be launching a t-shirt store featuring some of that artwork in the next couple of weeks. And I’ll be splitting the proceeds with the artists
Founders-level subscribers and anyone subscribing (or resubscribing) at the new $75 price point will get a free shirt (or mug or whatever I sell)—my way of saying thanks for supporting the blog. I’ll send out a form as soon as the merch store is set up.
